High blood pressure (also known as hypertension) is a leading cause of heart attacks, heart failure, strokes, and several other health issues in the US and UK. As many as 47% of people in the United States have high blood pressure; some do not even know they have it. HTN is notoriously known as the ‘silent killer’ as often this deadly condition has no symptoms until there is end organ damage.
