Cinnamon is absolutely safe herb to be used in pregnancy. There is no single research which supports adverse effects of cinnamon in pregnant woman when consumed in recommended dosage.
Points to note
❇️1 pinch of cinnamon is 0.5- 1 gm
❇️No need to boil the milk with cinnamon stick
❇️Just add a pinch of cinnamon powder in warm milk and sip it
❇️Use it for alternate weeks (replace with turmeric milk in another week)
❇️One time in a day is enough. Do not overdo
❇️No need to mix any other herbs with cinnamon
❇️One herb or ingredient is not capable of whole nutrition likewise it cannot be the only treatment of an ailment so ❇️Rest of the diet consumed in a day needs to be planned wisely considering your sugar levels
❇️Ceylon cinnamon variety is considered more effective and safe
Cinnamon enhances the insulin receptor activity / sensitivity which is reduced due to placental hormones during pregnancy. It also helps to reduce sugar spikes and regulate the blood sugar levels.
