Prediabetes and diabetes – Warning symptoms!!! – Dr. Bindu Suresh
The silent symptoms of diabetes or pre diabetic are excessive urination. If a patient is passing urine more than 3 or 4 times during night disturbing sleep, this is one of the warning symptoms. The second is excessive thirst, the throat is usually very dry and the patient always wants to drink water or juices, something which is high in carbohydrates. The third symptom is a loss of weight, there is a progressive loss of weight in pre diabetic or diabetic patients. This should be an alarming symptom to go in for a sugar check. Non-healing of wounds and ulcers, when you have a cut in hand if it does not heal for more than a week or it gets into an infection, this is an alarming sign to go in for a diabetic check. The other symptoms include excessive hunger this is one of the symptoms showing that you may be going in for diabetes.
