Passengers have disembarked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/health\/health-news\/hantavirus-stricken-cruise-ship-arrives-tenerife-rcna344318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a lengthy process <\/a>involving multiple countries and the World Health Organization that began last week.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-1908ff\" class=\"body-graf\">A Canadian passenger who was aboard Hondius <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/health\/health-news\/canadian-hondius-cruise-passenger-positive-hantavirus-rcna345478\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tested positive for the Andes strain of hantavirus<\/a> earlier this week and remains  hospitalized in isolation. The passenger\u2019s travel companion, who had previously reported mild symptoms, later tested negative, the Public Health Agency of Canada announced Sunday. <\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-288d6c\" class=\"body-graf\">When the ship arrives Monday, crew members and medical staff still on board will disembark in a staggered process, Oceanwide Expeditions said. None of those who remain on the ship are currently symptomatic.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-415b68\" class=\"body-graf\">The vessel will be cleaned and disinfected \u201cin close coordination\u201d with the disembarking process, the company added.
